About Us

Hi, I’m Amie!

A wife, mom, and the owner/founder of Fueling Fitness Nutrition LLC; an online nutrition coaching business whose mission is to set clients up for long-term success through custom nutrition plans and one-on-one coaching. I’ve trained and competed in Martial Arts, Equestrian, Track & Field, Powerlifting, Olympic weightlifting, and CrossFit. I have a B.S. degree in Nutrition and Dietetics from WCU, USA Weightlifting Level 1 certification, CrossFit Level 1 certification, and hold over a decade of personal training and nutrition experience with CrossFit gyms, youth sports teams, and individuals.

Martial Arts

I began my athletic career at the age of 7 when I joined AmKor Karate Institutes. I trained with AmKor for 15 years, earning 4th degree black belt, and gold medals on national and international levels. My coaching/instructing career began at the age of 15 when I became an assistant instructor for youth martial arts classes. After 5.5 years of instructing, I was able to develop an early understanding for human movement and the art of teaching.

Horseback Riding

I rode and competed in local shows for about 10 years starting in grade school. During my time riding I took on the task of training my own horses to compete in western-style events such as barrel racing.

Track & Field

For 6 years starting in middle school, I ran on the indoor and outdoor track and field team, racing in the 100m high hurdles, 4x100m relay team, and 4x400m relay team. My high school 4x100m relay team qualified to race at Penn Relays held at Penn University multiple years in a row!

Powerlifting, CrossFit & Weightlifting

In 2013, I began training in powerlifting, then joined my first CrossFit gym and entered into a few local competitions. I decided to take a hiatus from CF competition to focus on Olympic weightlifting where I qualified for University Nationals in 2016. Eventually I got back into CrossFit competition in 2017. Since then I’ve competed at Wodapolooza on an intermediate team (2019), as well as multiple local competitions. My best finish in the CrossFit Open to date was in 2023 where I placed in the 99th percentile worldwide. In 2024 I unofficially completed the 3 weeks of the CrossFit Open at 37-40 weeks pregnant.

CrossFit Coaching

In 2014, I enrolled in the National Personal Training Institute to earn my personal training and nutrition certification. I continued to gain more knowledge by applying for a coaching internship at Crossfit West Chester. Quickly realizing the CrossFit Methodology and approach to health and wellness aligned with my own beliefs, my internship merged into joining the coaching staff. From there I earned my Level 1 USA Weightlifting Coach certification in 2015. After gaining years of experience as a coach and trainer, and in order to further spread my reach within the CrossFit Community, I also joined the CrossFit MFP coaching staff in 2018. Later becoming a Level 1 CrossFit coach. Coaching took a pause to give birth to my daughter in March of 2024.

Lyme Disease

The path wasnt always linear. In 2013, I was diagnosed with Lyme disease. The treatment process involved 3 doctors, 5 courses of antibiotics, and just over 2 years to kick it’s butt. My second treatment also came with an additional positive test for Babesia, a parasite from a tick bite that attacks red blood cells. My final treatment was from January-April of 2015 where I had an antibiotic infusion 5 days a week via a PICC line.

Knowing that I needed to heal from the inside out is what made me decide to pursue a higher education in the field of nutrition and dietetics. I was already immersed in the fitness side of health and wellness, but I needed and wanted to understand how I could support my body through healing and hopefully high level athletics.

Nutrition Coaching

Wanting to dive deeper into the nutrition side of fitness, I enrolled in Community College in 2015. I later transferred my credits and enrolled in the Nutrition and Dietetics program at West Chester University; graduating in 2020 with a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics and a minor in coaching. During my schooling I had been applying my nutrition knowledge to help my personal training and CrossFit clients, and later headed the nutrition programs for CrossFit West Chester and CrossFit MFP.
